Sometimes I need an extra cleaning in between appointments when my family visits and MegaMaids happily accomodate me. "Please! Do NOT tell my mother that I sometimes hire Mega Maids to clean my house.
I was not raised that way. In fact, if there is one thing I learned from moms, it would be that a clean house is a happy house. I was a messy clutter bug during my teen years, but now that I am older, I cannot stand having a messy house.
I work long hours, live with a MAN and have kiddies on the weekend. It's hard to keep on top of house work and laundry. And as much as I am against hired help, I do appreciate when my man calls ahead and takes the burden off my shoulders.
It's not a habit by all means...just a once in a while when in a I am too lazy to deep clean-call Mega Maids type of mood. They're fast and do a great job. They don't clean the way I would -- but it also doesn't take them all day and night to get it done.
Their rates are reasonable - for a 2-3 hr session, it's about $100. Sure, I could be saving that cash had I done it myself...but sometimes, these dish pan hands need a break.
I don't even have to be home when they work! They are insured and if anything goes missing, I know who to sue!"
